Wildflower Walk, Durlston , Swanage.

It's wildflower week in Dorset and there are some fascinating walks being held.
This walk was led by a wonderful elderly gentleman called Ted Pratt. He had recently had a back op, so did really well with the help of a notability scooter. There were about ten of us on the walk - varying ages including a young man immersing himself in Botany. He also carried a butterfly net so we able to see a speckled wood butterfly.
The hay meadows were glorious - I was thrilled to spot this Bee Orchid - the first one I've ever found - so tiny but there were many other plants including Twayblade and the glorious crimson Sanfoin. See extras if you wish.
