when you are this colour...

...you just have to be blipped!

After yesterday's wind and rain - which continued all night - normal Tuscan sunshine was restored today. However, the wind remained and it must be coming from somewhere really cold because the wind chill has been horribly significant. This was having an effect on the butterflies with only the really common ones flying, but that cannot be a disappointment because it has given me the excuse I needed to photograph an Adonis, Lysandra bellargus. Of all the blues, this one has the brightest and most stunning colour. I blipped an English one towards the end of the Big Butterfly Count, so here is its Italian cousin...
