Meet the Tree Killer!

A wee bit dramatic but that is just what it does. Quite a fantastic and complex bit of machinery which clamps round the victim tree, zips it off at ground level then trims all the branches off and cuts the trunk into the correct lengths.
We had a chat with the driver and it turns out that he was at school with our Ali.
Its a small world!
Although it was dry for our morning walk, it has been several shades of dreich ever since. The house has been tidied and other chores done. A dental appointment met. (just 3 more to go, hopefully) Shopping dealt with and store cupboard replenished. However, we have not walked Rona since early this morning. Is she bothered? Not a bit! Stretched out on one of her blankets and snoring fit to burst - its a dog's life, right enough!
