My topsy-turvy life

Pen pal

We were back in hospital again today. Laura had an appointment with a flexible sigmoidoscopy...best not to ask.

The results basically confirmed that Dr Nick was on the right lines in prescribing the new medication that arrived today. The Humira (adalimumab) comes in pens, otherwise known as needles that she has to inject into her legs. She didn't want an action blip so I've had to make do with just the pen.

Humira acts by inhibiting TNF (tumour necrosis factor) in the inflammatory process, thus reducing the inflammation. Hopefully.
