Manchester

Up in Manchester for a meeting tomorrow so had time to walk the city and see the great sense of togetherness shown by its people and organisations.

Busy Piccadilly Station looked normal but there were armed police providing a welcome presence. On Piccadilly itself was this chalk drawing by a Canadian who was demonstrating their solidarity with the people of Manchester.

Paid a very interning visit to the People's History Museum which told the story of the fight that ordinary people had in order that we all had the right to vote to elect a government to run the country on our behalf. A very timely reminder that our right was hard won and should not be taken lightly.

Found a very good pizza place in the Northern Quarter to round off the day. Walked over 7 miles during the day, which is good going.
