Weevil

My attention was drawn to a very oddly shaped beetle crawling on our patio door.  Initially I thought it had a long tongue but then I realised that its antennae were positioned towards the end of this projection which must be a thin elongated head.  Out came the Collins Field Guide to Insects from which I soon discovered that this was a weevil and was probably dorytomus longimanus.  I don't remember ever seeing one of these before.
