OLIVER

Went to the Theatre Royal in Newcastle this afternoon to see Oliver. It was really good. Brian Conley played Fagin and he was excellent.

When I booked for Annie, which I saw a couple of weeks ago, I chose a seat in Row C. When I got to the theatre I found Row C was the front row as rows A and B had been removed to accommodate the live orchestra. Today was the same - booked Row C but this turned out to be the front row again. Not keen on this front row as there isn't much leg room and as you are so close to the orchestra it drowns out some of the vocals. One good thing however was that I got a good view of the musicians and conductor which I would never normally see.
