Common Blue

Another super walk on the South Downs, going west today from Offham, near Lewes, over Mount Harry to Blackcap and then down into Ashcombe Bottom. Lots of butterflies around as well as some beautiful lacewings.I came across another colony of Wall Brown but the highlight for me was watching this female Common Blue getting down into the vegetation to lay her eggs.
