The Next Generation

We had a baby squirrel visit the garden first thing this morning. S/he's tiny and yet unaccompanied. S/he's too small to reach the bird feeders from the central pole and very timid. here she is frozen as if hoping s/he can't be seen.

I'm off on a District Brownie PGL weekend on Friday and I agreed to buy some instant hot chocolate and biscuits. Simple?

Allergies and intolerances are definitely on the rise amongst the next generation. Amongst 69 girls we have 2 dairy allergies, 1 gluten, 1 eggs, 1 nuts, 1 sesame, 1 kiwi, 1 pineapple. The fruits I'm not concerned with and they're only intolerances whereas one of the dairy allergies is so severe that even being touched by another child's chocolate smeared fingers causes major swelling. So I've bought soya chocolate milk and dairy free biscuits, and there'll be a few gluten free ones too. So having scrutinised the ingredients now I know Sainsbury's own brand biscuits all contain dairy and yet Waitrose ones don't. Even odder is that Waitrose bourbons may contain sesame!
