Mezzegra

A walk along the Greenway to Tremezzo takes us through Mezzegra. The Greenway is a little way back from the lake at this point and Mezzegra has lots of quaint side streets worthy of a brief halt to take a photograph.

The first part of the Greenway leaving Lenno includes a steep hill. I am not the fittest person in the world, but in any case in temperatures of 30 degrees plus I think most people would find it mildly uncomfortable. Once this ascent is out of the way most of the rest of the walk is flat or fairly gentle, then there is a descent to Tremezzo.

At Tramezzo we stopped for a light lunch before taking a ferry over to Menaggio, and after a brief stop here we returned to Lenno by bus.
