Everybody's a Critic

This feels like one of those New Yorker cartoons where you're expected to write a caption. Winner to be announced next week. The crows were at it everywhere this morning--in our yard, in the beach neighborhoods and on the cliffs. Such discussion, such a racket with them hopping all over and buzzing each other.

It was a very productive walk, photo-wise. Some days there are images everywhere, and I wish I could spread 'em around to the leaner times. I have to include the heron in the Extras. He's in the same tall tree where I've seen hawks and ospreys, but this is the first time I've seen a heron. Beautiful gracious boy, he flew off right after I pressed the button.
