Surf's Up

Well, all good things and all that. It’s been a blast. After a call in at the Surf Museum* it was up the coast - Route 1 which was a joy, being so quiet. We stopped in for a late lunch at the Half Moon Brewing Company (which conveniently appeared just when a break was called for...) and sat out. And got into conversation with Colleen, whose great-grandfather, guess what indeed, came from Edinburgh. And she’s coming to the Edinburgh Fringe in August with the dance company of which she’s the artistic director - the NewGround Theatre Dance Company. Get queuing now, you bozos.

Hire car dropped off, it was onto the upper deck of the Airbus. A few hundred feet up after take off we were into the low clouds above San Francisco and away.

*little known fact: the SK was crowned Scottish Champion surfer at Pease Bay back in the early days of the sport. No, not in the thirties - the seventies!
