Fields turning to Gold

.... very early this year. I actually went to photograph another field with so many poppies amongst the wheat (see extra) but I preferred this one.

We had a death in our strawberry patch, a 1.5m grass snake which strangled itself in the netting to keep the birds off. So sad, he, or she, was a beauty.
