that magic moment

I managed to capture that magic moment as the first peregrine fledgling flew the nest at 16:50. I was amused to see in the sequence of shots how his sibling seemed to be willing him on and flapping his wings with him.

He flew strongly and around the corner of the mill, out of sight. I searched for him as the first flight is never too far but I couldn't find him, hopefully he will be safe during his first night of freedom. His parents will find him tomorrow and encourage him with food to fly again. It felt so good to see it and as I was the only person there I am pleased to share it.

Neither parent was around to witness the moment but later the male adult dropped in with food for the remaining 3 offspring (see in extra)
