Mural

I was still at Andrew Wilson's wedding last night when first news of the attack in London came through.  It seems almost unbelievable that such a thing should happen in such quick succession to Manchester (just last week) and the House of Commons attack in March  but it is also right that after a brief pause the election campaign should resume tomorrow .  Terrorists want to frighten and fatally disrupt our lives and our democracy - we  must not let them do so.

As it happened Cathleen and I had a long standing arrangement today to have lunch with my brother and his partner Eline who were over from Brussels for the weekend.  We stopped in Glasgow to do so , taking Cailean and his girlfriend Anna with us from Edinburgh.

It was good to celebrate family on such a day and walking back to the car I was reminded of another good event - the Commonwealth Games three  years ago for which this mural was painted behind the City Hall.  It is still as fresh as it was then, and still as attractive.
