Ferried About

I really like the Glenelg Ferry. Yeah, it's a short ride, and it's expensive for that, but it's a fun, fast-running channel, and the road on the Skye side is full of twisty and vertiginous goodness. We were heading mainland-side for a walk from Corran along the coast. One we've done before, but a superb landscape, looking out on Knoydart, and with only a few short showers to contend with.

On the way out the ferry's White-tailed Eagle put on a show, chasing down a Black-backed Gull into dropping its catch, making off with it followed by a squadron of gulls in hot pursuit. There was even the added bonus of a couple of gorgeous Austin-Healeys, which we timed perfectly to see on both trips on the ferry (and both the Eagle and Healeys in the extras).
