Bubbles for Pentecost

The Bible doesn't mention bubbles in the narration of that first pentecost, but here at Holy Trinity, Dunoon the bubble machine tends to come into play whenever a celebration is called for - especially when the children are present. Today's Eucharist was never going to be easy, with the absence of Canon Hugh still keenly felt and the dreadful events in London and Manchester making the time feel out of joint, but the children and young people brought a serious innocence to their leading of intercessions and their reading of the lessons and a lightness to everyone's hearts as the last hymn exhorted us to have joy in our hearts.

And so the bubbles were leaped at and bashed and we all sang. The birthday of the church had been celebrated despite the pain,
