Moody at Murano

Once upon a midnight dreary, as I pondered weak and weary,
Over many a quaint and curious volume of forgotten lore
While I nodded, nearly napping, suddenly there came a tapping,
As of someone gently rapping, rapping at my chamber door.

Megan is moving out of the Murano halls of residence this evening. I drive over with Angus, via the Peebles bottle bank, through warm drizzle. The freshly renewed section of M8 between Eurocentral and Glasgow is wide, empty and smooth - this must be a dream.

Megz has accumulated a lot of stuff over the year. Nuur helps is carry it down the from the top floor and it fills the car. There's just enough space for Angus in the back.

We have tea at a hip, vegan bar & venue on the Great Western Road, The Hug and Pint. After some discussion, the waitress agrees that Angus can have a beer because he is having a meal and he is with a parent. Megan demonstrates her eligibility for cider by producing a driving license.

The best dish is definitely Angus' aubergine in black pepper sauce. My mild jackfruit curry is a perfectly serviceable descendant of Thai green curry. And Megan's sweet tempeh is exactly that.

Then it's back onto the magic M8 before winding back through Carluke and Carnwath just in time for bed.
