Pools and Rocks

Today was a day of two halves weather wise.  This morning there was a cloud inversion (Extra 1), and very cold, while this afternoon the cloud blew away, so was lovely and sunny.  I couldn't decide between this photo or Extra 2!

I had a nice walk along the lake, clocking up 9398 steps (6 k's). Very pleased with myself.  No little 'h' today, as I am going to watch her swimming lesson tomorrow afternoon.  Looking forward to that.

Writer and adventurer Zane Grey first visited NZ, helping to popularise big game fishing.

Pavlova reportedly created by a Wellington hotel chef in honour of the visit of Anna Pavlova, a Russian ballet dancer.  It is a crunchy meringue base ready to be topped with whipped cream and your favourite fresh fruit.  Extra 3 is the Pavlova we had for Christmas 2010.  It was simply delicious.
