Across Grafton Bridge

Cycled to work again today. As I crossed Grafton Bridge I could see, through the perspex barriers, the newly risen sun away to the east. Barriers put up to prevent anyone from jumping. They have been effective in the sense that since they have been there no one has jumped from this bridge. In my new role, I have been put onto a committee to oversee plans to reduce the rate of suicide, which is particularly high for young men in New Zealand. Especially young Maori men.

Just after crossing the bridge, I had to stop at traffic lights, which is where I took this photo. Fourth sunrise photo in the last four days. I'll need to find another subject tomorrow.
