Hidden Door....

A fantastically lazy Sunday.

Long lie, reading, eating, more reading, and then out into the sunshine and along to Leith Theatre for the last evening of the Hidden Door festival.

An hour or two of sitting in the sun, drinking Barney's, eating tasty food from the food carts, and then inside to explore the beautifully faded theatre before listening to some music.

First up was Song Yuzhe of Dawanggang from China who played beautiful music on a banjo. Next up was one of my personal favourites, Kathryn Joseph. She played a stunning set, with a couple of new songs thrown in.

After the break it was time for the headliners, Tinderbox Orchestra, a youth orchestra from (mainly) Edinburgh.

They were brilliant. They wrote some of the music, they conducted it and played with such energy. Not something I could've done when I was 14....or even now!

Just as we were heading away, Iain and I bumped into Ms Joseph, where hugs and chats were exchanged before we stumbled off into the Leith night, and for home.
