Spent the morning on the lovely beach at Melliha, a 2 minute walk from where we are staying. Toby and Eva were so excited. Eva just came charging out of the sea, jumping up and down and shouted "Yes!". Toby made us laugh - his eyes were watering a bit and Mike asked him if he was okay and he said "Yes Daddy, my eyes always water when I have a good idea". We didn't get to find out what the good idea was! 

This afternoon after a nice lunch in a cafe overlooking the beach, we headed inland to Mdina, which is a very old town with lots of beautiful buildings and narrow twisty streets to explore. We had some coffee and cake in a gorgeous little tea shop with a roof terrace overlooking an amazing view out to sea. We didn't feel like going out for dinner (still full after the cake!) so just found a supermarket and had something back at the apartment.
