Fond Farewell

Still the sun shone as we crossed the Solent and left the Island behind. It had been a very happy few days, helped by having such fine sunny weather.

We dropped Mum off in Maidenhead and travelled on to Chesterfield, stopping for a lovely walk along the Grand Union canal from where it is crossed by the Fosse Way which we used to travel from the M40 to the M1.
