"Hope is the thing with feathers" per Emily Dickinson

This particular thing with feathers is my friend the eastern phoebe. She is now starting her second brood for the year in the nest under our back porch - hoping to successfully rear three or four new phoebes. You do have to admire the way birds just get on with it.
