Crazy About Birds

Comfrey

Years and years and years ago I had a "herb garden" out beyond the south end of our house. After a few years I gave it up and it turned back into what passes for lawn. But there is a patch of comfrey that escaped from the original bed, persisted, and sort of strolled itself over to the edge of the grass where there are also black raspberries and wild roses and random patches of this and that (including poison ivy) under the trees that are the edge of the woods behind the house. The "wild" comfrey patch is doing very well this year and the blooming has been going on for quite a while. So I thought it deserved to be a Flower Friday entry.
