flying out of the clouds...

...and into some sun glare

you can just see the shimmer - of sunlight on the gulls outstretched wings - as he flys out of the clouds

this shot is straight out of the camera

it's why i chose it - specifically because of those highlights on its wings - how do you see that, and not be totally mesmerized - it happens to me every time when i see the gulls - flying over my house - sometimes they fly in formation - sometimes they don't and sometimes i see just - a random 1 or 2 like this one flying free - away from any pack at all - just enjoying the expanse of blue sky - who wouldn't appreciate that kind of freedom - knowing how it would lead to...
