Fashion! Turn to the left...

A day of arty schtick! And a General Election too. First up, ‘Letters from Baghdad’ - a most fabulous film about Gertrude Bell, who travelled throughout Mesopotamia and Arabia in the early years of the 20th century. And some amazing footage - her still photography was stunning too. A terrific film.
Then on to a shifty round the ECA degree show - and we bumped into Toots and Donald! I’ve got to agree with Toots - the fashion was one of the few standouts in the old building at least. I’m not sure why they even try to do painting.
Then for a bite and to a bit of Theatre - Shackleton at the Traverse. Not at all what I expected - no dialogue but a stunning soundtrack. Soundscape, even.
Then home on the bus - half way down Leith Walk the exit poll came in - well, didn’t see that coming. Thought May was 12% clear?
