Ancient timber

I had to borrow a phone for this one. It shows some of the sixteenth century wooden pillars supporting the Guildhall in Faversham, Kent. The medieval centre of the town is full of beautiful old timber-framed buildings, amazingly well-preserved. Somehow they have managed to escape destruction over the centuries.  Faversham seems actually to be quite a big town, with a lot of C20 and C21 development, but the old centre is well worth seeing.
