The Monreith Cross

This cross is in a small museum of Celtic crosses at Whithorn Priory. It once stood on the court-hill near Whithorn, and local justice was dispensed in the shadow of the cross.

Whithorn is an ancient centre of Christianity, associated with St Ninian.
