Up early to do a bit of gardening, pruning back a verbena bonariensis that has got a bit out of hand. Then the out laws came for cuppas and brought another tomato plant. Bill showed the model plane he had constructed.
Once they departed I went to the station to catch the train to Reading to see Dad. He is still on oxygen Selena phoned to say Harry had come off his bike so she was taking him to the minor injuries unit..
I left dad and went on to see Mum at the dementia care home where they had organised a little garden party for residents and friends and families.and dogs. Thankfully the sun shone and we could sit out and have tea and share cakes and scones. (Mum will only eat them if we share, which is such a hardship for me but i had not had lunch so not so bad). After a tearful goodbye I returned home to find my wounded one, they don't think he has broken anything but has quite a lot of cuts and grazes as well as the elbow in the sling. He is happy that his bike looks like it came off better than him, (his tyre flattened coming down a really steep hill, thankfully not far from home). I went up to Dad's to 'steal' a few dressings as we did not have any big enough.
Poldarking later.
