Golden Eagle

This fine sculpture was installed at 4 & 8yo's school earlier in the summer, capturing the school symbol, a golden eagle. It is a life-sized eagle, and sits on top of a wooden pole, towering over the playground.

There is a nice time-lapse film of the sculptor at work creating it.

The grounds were quiet today as I collected 8yo from gym club, so I thought it was time to share the eagle with the world. It looks like the sculpture will catch the sun in different ways, at different times of the day.

It was another bright day, and we bumped into a few solitary butterflies around the village: Red Admiral, Peacock, Speckled Wood, Small Tortoiseshell, Small White and Large White.
