Ennerdale

The weather here looks great but it does not represent how the day was. 50 mph gusts combined with non-stop torrential rain meant that all walks planned were small and didn't climb too high up. I led a lovely walk up a small hill and around a lake, getting back to the hostel at 3pm. Very annoyingly, the rain finally stopped and the sun came out at 3.30pm.... I therefore headed out again for a couple of kms before reaching the start of the lake I had just walked around and skinny dipping with a couple of others. The rest of the evening was spent worrying about lost walkers (they took a silly and very long route back but were okay), cooking food, singing songs, and getting to know each other.
