Nibbles

A bit better today. I was inspired by a very helpful nutritionist to pay a visit to the supermarket to buy some things to snack on.
When we got home, this odd little squirrel was combing an area of lawn , no more than a metre square. No idea what it was looking for. I did my daily bird count - 12 species, which would be a very good count for a week. During the afternoon, there were 2 additional species, including a Greenfinch, which is a really unusual sighting for us, and if I include flyovers - black-headed gull, swift and house martins, 17 species from my window is a pretty good tally.
The squirrel stayed for ages, but the last time I saw it, it was being pounced on by next door's cat. I don't know if it survived.
