A Day Worth Recording

Perspective

One of the other B&B consortium members is involved with the charity Chernobyl Children's Lifeline. Every year they organise for a group of children to come for a few weeks recuperation from living in the 'most radioactive place on the planet'.

Their usual venue for a BBQ for the children and host families wasn't available this year and we were very happy to step in.

"Belarus, where most of [their] work is focused, received over 70% of the radioactive fallout from the Chernobyl nuclear explosion in April 1986 and as a result, thousands are born every year with, or go on to develop thyroid cancer, bone cancer and leukaemia."

Puts dodgy hips and occasional falls into perspective, rather.
