Great Crested Grebe baby

I had to wait until a little after lunch time for a parcel. Once it had arrived, I cycled to the local nature reserve and spent a few hours there on the afternoon of the last day of my holiday.

After a quick sorting of the rather large number of photos that I came home with (many of them aren't any good), I managed to pick two shots that I like. My main blip is the smallest of two Great Crested Grebe chicks and the extra photo is a Ladybird, which was doing its best to hold on to a blade of grass.

Thank you very much for all the kind comments and stars on yesterday's blip. I apologise for my own lack of comments on other journals this evening.
