The Globe.

A long week this week. M's first in his new job, and more than half of mine spent at my secondment office. Today I was quite quiet and was looking forward to heading home for tea with M. I made us salmon with asparagus and butternut squash with a watercress sauce, which turned out beautifully.

After tea, we headed 2 minutes down the road to McGinty's for a quick pint with some folk from my work, then headed down to The Globe on our own for a few more. We found ourselves a lovely wee alcove in which we sat all night, chatting rubbish and watching other people. M noticed that despite the fact that all the tables we squint, all the candles were exactly in line. Each candle was stuffed into an empty Balvenie bottle, one of M's favorite whiskeys. Bring on the weekend :)
