RSPB Minsmere

A day of blue sky but not too hot. Just right.
Spent much of the day at RSPB's flagship reserve on the Suffolk coast.
The main shot is of Mullein Moth caterpillars. The feed on Mullein plants in June and July then transform into tough cocoons in the surface soil. I believe it can be a number of years before the moths emerge.
The extra shows Sheep's Sorrel, a plant which grows in many parts of the world and has been used medicinally for hundreds of years.

As this is a bird reserve, why no bird blips. Well the Avocet shots were not good enough. Will try again tomorrow.
