My favourite alpine plant.

Devil’s Claw. Also known as Tufted Horned Rampion (Physoplexis comosa).

I blipped this last year but as it is my favourite alpine in my small greenhouse I am happy to remind people of its beauty.

In the wild it grows in the European Alps and especially in the Dolomites in north eastern Italy. It can be found up to about 2,000metres.

I have had it for about ten years and it never fails to bring pleasure.
