Carrbridge

The splendid remnant of the old packhorse bridge at Carrbridge. Built in 1717, it is now in its 300th anniversary year and is reputedly, the oldest bridge in Scotland.

It is also known as the coffin bridge, as it allowed funeral processions to cross the river when it was in spate.
