Rambling Rose

Many years ago I planted a rambling rose, a really vigorous white flowered hybrid with Rosa rubrifolia (pink flowered) as one of it's parents.  The original got tooooo big, growing over all the shrubs in the border and eventually being brought doen by it's own weight in a summer storm.  This is a self sown seedling from it which I rescued.  It's not quite as vigorous but just as floriferous with the added bonus of these wonderful, scented, apple blossom pink flowers.

The plan is to clear beneath and around it and insert an arbour over which it can be trained.  Along with equally an vigorous clematis planted nearby it should create a shady corner for escaping the summer heat.
