While I was in Paris a friendly for the vets was organised via WhatsApp. And I consented to make a guest appearance. The match was this evening. The opposition turned out to be Sri Lankans- most of whom were 17. All skill and speed. Our strengths were more slowness and, er, strength. The old guys triumphed 5-3. I didn't play well - but had a spell on the right wing which was quite fun. I am much better at running than actually doing anything with the ball.
