Quod oculus meus videt

Can't be a Murmuration

Saw these from a distance during a walk.  They kept overflying a small group of houses where I assume they were kept.  I liked the way the sun seemed to be reflecting off the wings during certain times, though I don't think Ive been able to portray this that well in the image.

Walking along the local section of disused canal, most of the coots, moor hens and little grebes seem to be nursing young.  They are very timid and tend to head for the grasses and reads on the margins as soon as anyone passes.  Very limited photo opportunities as a result.
