Clownesque Phalacrocorax Carbo

It's always a great sight to see a great black cormorant (Phalacrocorax Carbo) to be totally correct) drying its feathers by spreading its wings wide open towards the sun whilst sitting on a lamppost.

That was more or less the shot I had in mind when I saw these two specimens with wings open and wings closed, but just as I was going to make my shot the first one decided to stop sunbathing and intended to fly away, so I quickly made this shot before it left the pole.

Not my intended photo, but unexpectedly a nice and funny shot anyway!

Have a nice weekend!
