Farewell 802

After 57 years of loyal service the emergency call poles on every freeway will be dismantled this summer. 

Due to the popularity of the mobile phone they pretty much lost their rescue function (and as we can see the maintenance). 

This was probably one of the last opportunities I had to shoot one in it's original environment. 

Farewell 802!  R.I.P.

P.s. Did I say they were nicknamed the Rabbit ears, as you now might recognize the rabbit's head in this profile shot ;-)
