Church coffee morning

We have a coffee morning each Saturday, usually for a charity or a good cause, sometimes just to give our elders somewhere to have a coffee and chat.

But today our coffee morning was for ourselves; to raise money for a new heating system for the church.  It appears that we can get a grant for most of the money, but we have to raise £5,000 ourselves before the grant can be made.

We all worked hard today, Margaret and I as usual making rolls and sausage. Pancakes on offer too, and lots of cakes.  Tea, coffee and soft drinks also.

We had a baking stall, a bottle stall, a bric a brac stall, a handbag and scarf table, an auction, a raffle, you name it, we had it.  Oh, and I won a bottle of wine in the raffle.....

Had a restful afternoon in the garden, as it was so nice.
