Scropton Village Fete

Phew, it was a hot one, no wonder the fire brigade turned up! They were happy to let the kids climb up and have a play with the helmet. My friend H and I were contemplating asking if big girls were allowed to play with the firemen too ... but really it was just too hot, so we went for ice creams instead!

H's son's band, Back On Friday, played their debut gig and were well received, though I doubt many people knew their set of covers. I only knew the Greenday ones, but never the less, they were rapturously applauded.
