Evening swimming at Playa de Carabassi after 9 pm. No one else on swimming but me. No crowds, but people still walking around enjoying the cool air. Actually the water was warmer than air.

Today was another day running errands. Some we managed to do, some not. One shop had apparently disappeared even when their web pages still insisted they are there (we need a special fan for our home server). So that was a wasted hour. But we did manage to find all the hooks and clothes line for hanging clothes (mainly sheets and other huge washing) to dry, our bread "basket" and what not.

it seems that we might be getting all time hottest summer to Spain. Even now a lot of records for June has been broken. It's been terribly hot inland. (You've possibly read about the awful forest fire in Portugal that apparently started from dry thunder and spread so quickly that people were burned into their cars when there was no way out. Terrible tragedy. Over 60 were killed.) Like in Madrid the temperature was way over 40 in shade. Can you imagine that? We're only around 30°C for the next following weeks, but there they are bit under 40°C for at least 2 weeks more. And there's no playa! Even now the Mediterranean sea in 2-4 °C over long time average. But then in Athens Greece it was cool and stormy yesterday. Usually they have the heat too. So probably next time we go under 27°C during the day it will be late September.

And yes, we have aircon.
