Double derby day, well it could of been worse....

.....I could be an Osprey supporter. At least we have won a game this season, granted it was potentially the easiest of the season, but it was still a win.

Well today was a rugby disaster for Newport and the Dragons, and Cardiff had their hand in both of then. Firstly Newport headed off to the Arms Park in the hope of repeating what they did at the beginning of the year and beat Cardiff. But this was not to be, in fact, Cardiff humiliated Newport. I didnt see it, luckily, but Newport must have been woeful, and no way could you blame the ref for that result. I believe it ended 62 - 17, i dont want to check if that is correct for obvious reasons, lol.

Later on, the Dragons faced the Blues at Rodney Parade. The dragons hoped to repeat what they did last season and beat the Blues (i feel a pattern coming on today) But this was also not to be. Although we had out chances in this one, and yes, i do believe the ref did play a big part in our defeat and didnt even see the high tackle from Jamie Roberts in the 2nd half. We took the early lead and pressurised the blues for the majority of the first half and were in the lead at half time. Then the stupid mistake happened, we fumbled the ball and the Blues capitalised and never let go of their advantage.

So 2 losses in one day, gutted. But at least i had a fab day yesterday watching the Tour of Britain with my good lady wife.
