Snow Down Under

ICEBERG ROSE:

I have two beautiful roses out, but I have decided to run with the above, because it succinctly describes the day. ( I hope Bantry Bay can hold it together until tomorrow & then she can be centre stage.) Yes today is a real winters one. Grey, gloomy, cold & overcast. I remember my Grandfather always said, the six weeks following the winter solstice were always the coldest of the year. Those oldies knew a thing or two.

Late yesterday Mr Fix It (Rod) returned with my rain gauge complete with a glued on edge at the back; it is now sitting snugly in its cradle awaiting the next shower of rain. Bring it on ! He also fixed a bedside lamp for me. I tell you he can fix anything. I love him !
