Glad Midsommar!

Hello Blipfriends!
Dolly reporting today!

Glad Midsommar! Happy Midsummer!

Me and Mum love all things Swedish, especially since our very good friends live there and ESPECIALLY since we travelled there last summer to visit them! Today is Sweden's BIG holiday! Midsommar! Special foods are eaten - salmon, herring, potatoes, eggs, shrimp, and lots of strawberries! There is dancing and singing (something about small frogs!) and lots of flowers and wreaths made from flowers which are worn on children's and ladies heads.

We would have liked to have been in Sweden for Midsommar! Mum has been there for Midsommar a few years ago, but I never have! We are even more jealous because my dogsitter family ARE there this year! Mum? Why couldn't we go too?

SO - we decided to have our own Midsommar celebrations. We tried to make our meal as authentic as possible, but there was no dancing or singing and no wreath for me. But my best friend Alice got one! You can read her blip and see hers here. Isn't she beautiful?

To all our Swedish friends - Glad Midsommar!
